Yokut/Miwok Lidded Basket. $3800. Collected by the grandmotherof the first anglo woman born in Columbia, California. Her family came tothe Sierras with the Donner Party, but left the Donner Party before crossingthe infamous pass in order to take a safer route. Courtwright Family Collection.Knob on lid has some wear, otherwise basket is perfect with exquisite designs.
