There are 4 main entrances to Yosemite National Park.

Highway 120: Visitors coming from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Lake Tahoe, Stockton and Modesto most frequently use the Big Oak Flat entrance on Highway 120 west from Modesto and Manteca and through Groveland.

Highway 140: Visitors from Merced and surrounding communities will find the Arch Rock entrance most convenient. The Arch Rock entrance is accessed on Highway 140 west from Merced and through Mariposa.

Highway 41: Visitors from San Diego, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Fresno and neighboring communities will find Highway 41 most convenient. This Highway 41 entrance is accessed north from Fresno and through Oakhurst.

Tioga Pass/120/395 entrance: Visitors from Reno, Lake Tahoe, Bridgeport, Mono Lake, Mammoth Lakes and Las Vegas can access Yosemite via the Tioga Pass. This entrance is on Highway 120 east from Lee Vining and Highway 395. This Tioga Pass entrance is closed from the first major snowstorm in November until approximately early June because of snow.

All roads entering the park from the west side (120, 140 & 41) are kept open year round but may require tire chains because of snow anytime between November and April and sometimes later. For the very latest road conditions in the park, call (209) 372-0200.
