Tuolumne County Sheriff Dick Rogers (in uniform) has been appointed by
Sacramento District FBI Director Jim Maddock (seen in demin shirt & levis)
to head the investigation.
We counted 26 television cameras & 2 dozen satellite trucks. No news event
in Tuolumne County has ever attracted this much attention since the ’49er
Gold Rush.
